GULLUK
The road turning to the right from the Milas-Bodrum road will, after eight kilometres, take you to Güllük. Güllük offers the opportunity of a quiet holiday for those who do not like the crowds of Bodrum, which is just next to it. Well, it is like this at least for now. Gulluk is located between the Gulf of Mandalya and Asin Cove and its fishermen and waterfront coffee-houses and restaurants still retain the character of a fishing village. Houses on the rising landscape from the seaside all have a view due to the topography of the area.

There is good fish to be had in the netted areas to the north and in sea itself. You can fish for bluefish, grey mullet and most of all eels. You can feast on eel dishes in one of the restaurants here. It is very delicious although it is called snake fish in Turkish. In most of the coves in the area there is also fish farming conducted and where you can get sea bass and bream. In Güllük, just like its neighbour Bodrum, there are shipyards that build the unique boats to the region, gulets.

Access to town is almost the easiest among the other resorts in the region as it is only 25 kilometers from the International Airport. And the connection to the main Bodrum-Izmir highway is very short and in good condition. The neighborhood is very rich with regard to the historical remnants of the Carian and Hellenistic eras. For those searching for action after sunset, Bodrum center is only a half an hour drive. For those who would arrive at their summer home from international points in Europe, it would be quite realistic to say that they can start their vacation the very same day in Güllük.
