Regulated 9000sq.m. plot of land in Tsigov Chark area. The plot is in the forest by main asphalt road and about a kilometer away from the ski track. There are electricity and water connections nearby. Tsigov Chark is located in the Western part of the Rhodope Mountains, some 8 km from the town of Batak and 24 km east from the famous spa town of Velingrad which has over 80 natural hot springs. The land is situated nearby the artificial lake of Batak (one of the largest lakes in Bulgaria). The area is used currently for various outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, water sports & hiking .The average altitude is 900-1100 meters above sea level. The resort is both suitable for snow sports in the winter and summer holidays. The resort is mainly used at present in the summer time due to the great climate and outdoors opportunities but the new piste "Tsigov Chark offers good conditions for skiing and snowboarding. The average drop is around 100 meters, which make is suitable for both beginners and intermediate skiers. The total length of the piste is 1500 meters. It has 2 parts: In the bottom area it is easier, suitable for beginners, there are 2 drag lifts there. In its upper it is steeper and is served by a tow-bar drag lift. There is a project to make this piste longer in the next years. The price of 1-day lift pass is 6 ˆ EURO per day. A well equipped ski rental is available and ski instruction is available to. To rent ski equipment it is only 6 ˆ EURO per day. The area is famous and steeped in Bulgarian history with Thracian, Roman, Byzantium and Slav strongholds nearby and also the famous Tumuli bridges. There also 9 chapels in the area. Also nearby are the "Fotenski Vodopad waterfalls and the Snezhanka caves.
The town of Batak and the Batak Dam are connected to Plovdiv, Pazardjik, Peshtera, Velingrad and Rakitovo by regular bus services.
